Tech Tip: The early 944 cars did not have a Timing belt guide and the belt slapped the water pump when cold. The later pumps have bosses made onto the bump where the belt guide can be installed. Update parts required are (1) 944 105 241 04 roller, (1) 944 105 213 01 guide, 2) 999 084 092 02 nuts
